"How We Met" lyric - Edan out the dungeon of brain pain, I came, with a sell-a-lot plot from the megawatt mainframe- with a suit made of electricity, I ran through the Great Wall of China, convincingly- that was after the world tour, when I travelled through gravel and battled matter at the earth's core- I did the show on a fireball, a pioneer, ran into the jungle and jetted wearing a lion's ear- I fought fear with the hammer Thor lent me, and tangled with the Angel of Death for four centuries- put a name-plate on the asteroid belt and I ran through the future with an android's help- that's when civilians were made of metal. I received a coronation 'cause I had the last flower petals- my power settled a clash between races and put good people on the magazine faces- substituted television scandals with elephants and pandas, tell 'em its the elegant commando- with a hand so big, I punched the Sphinx in the nose, and the nose decomposed, and so the story goes... I slapped a 40 o(z) out of a young man's hand and fed him lessons of life to formulate a plan- I wore the prime meridian as a wristband, and gave a my riches, but I still remained a rich man- the quicksand I witstood, for good, as I hopped a dragonfly to outer space and met Count Bass....

"Seven Years" Today is my wife and I's 6th government recognized Anniversary. Six years ago was the "event" but we are on our eighth year of commitment. It should start to make sense how fast time flies. I wrote this song shortly after our 7th year of commitment to each other and now it's eight. Time is wild.

"Coming Soon" "Look at the crisis in Iran, Russia's already been in Afghanistan...coming soon..."
That is from The Winans album Introducing The Winans circa 1980. If they, their record company or anyone representing them sue me for using it, may GOD bless them for stifiling GOD'S word! You can have every dime.

"Aural S(ECT)s" The only way I can explain this concept is that it is indeed a song broken into two sections. I couldn't resist the play on words, but that's the gig. As far as the (ECT) and whatnot, I'll explain that in my book if I make it to 60. As for now, just know that it runs very deep. I really like the lyric to this song. It explains many notions that people have about me. I saw Mick Jagger talk about how he pretty much writes exclusively in a "stream of conciousness" style, and that's sorta been my mantra for a minute now. The line "...quite frankly I'm still beneath the table Doom drank me under" pretty much sums up the album lyrically and that's why I needed this song to be the first song that I spit on. When we were recording "Quite Buttery" Doom put on a clinic for me and Pocket. I came home with a mission to be influenced by him but not simply bite. That is much easier said than done, believe me. If you just listen to his music it's much easier to just be influenced by him than if you know him personally and you visit his home and he visits yours (Feel me?) So that line sums it up. Doom is the reason my lyrics have stepped up. Just as V.I.C. was the reason my beats stepped up when I made "Violatin'" in 1999. Thank GOD for allowing me to cross paths with some of the best in the business.

"Subwoofer (Dumile)" "Tap the MP with Kush in the Snugli, I'm trying to make my mark y'all drink bubbly"
That's the first line, Click the underlined words for further insight. (Kush is my youngest son.) All lyrics are up for your own interpretation. Don't feel as if anything I say is etched in stone.

"Jussa Playa" When I first started making this song, I didn't know why I was making it. I was introduced a song by a folk group that I fell in love with in 1989. Perhaps I've been writing this song since that moment. I usually start to make my own arrangement of a song I like after I've listened to it over 100 times or so. I took the lyric "...just a player, on an old piano..." and just started from there one day when I was listening to the song for the one hundred and first time. I don't remember what drums I chopped (when I think of it I'll insert it here). So at first the beat was just the sample and the first "oom pah like" drum pattern. I thought it sounded cool and I was going to just throw it away or make an interlude of sorts with it. Then I started to get all these ideas of a piano player who is actually a player with the ladies (most piano players are huge macks). So I said this will be the piano player anthem for all piano players. I've always believed that the ability to play the piano is mandatory for all who claim to be a musician. Now you don't have to be Marcus Roberts, but you do have to have some sort of working knowledge. That's where the vocal intro comes in. I was watching a video I got from the library and there was a jazz giant who was telling a story of how he explained to Miles Davis why "you got to learn how to play the piano...you must learn how to play the piano so you can SEE THE WHOLE SPECTRUM OF THE NOTES THAT YOU WANT TO PLAY, INSTEAD OF PLAYING ONE NOTE AT A TIME." That just floored me. It explained my whole plight as a musician in Hiphop. That you must see the whole spectrum of notes in order to understand why playing the notes on the drum machine one note at a time was bigger than just some little fad of music. So I knew I had to include part of that video. The sound at the beginning is just the sound at the beginning that signifies the start of something. I added all the samples and piano parts months later to a CD copy of the track I had originally made because I accidentally initinalized my hard drive. You wouldn't believe what this song has been through. But many people tell me it's one of their favorite tracks.

This is it!! It is this!! The album is finally out folks. Here is where you will be able to find out everything that I can think of (or disclose) about my third album DWIGHT SPITZ. This is my favorite album of the three. I worked harder on this album than any of the others (writing, producing, tracking, mixing, mastering) it was just crazy. But here it is, and I'm going to post information on each of the songs as I get it. So when you check in, you just may see the name of the song, and some sort of post about it. If you have any questions, just e-mail me.
